It's 6 pm and it's dark af outside. This shit sucks

If we don't save daylight now we aren't going to have enough for later.

It's basic economics.

One of the very few things Democrats and Republicans can actually agree on is that Daylight Savings is dumb and the U.S. should get rid of it. The only problem is they can't agree on whether it should always be Daylight Savings or never.

So until they figure it out (which, knowing them, is never), Murrica is stuck with changing their clocks for no reason every half year.

I find it odd how every year there's always people who act like it's the first time this has ever happened.

What's crazy is that DST has only been around for 115 years.

It is always a fun feeling the first day when you look at your watch and see it's 12 PM already but it's really only 11, though. I like "gaining" that hour to stress and procrastinate in life even more.

I much prefer this time as well.
If anything, they should switch them, so we have more light in Winter when we need it.

But at that point, you just putting lipstick on a cow.

It's a bazaar stupid, pointless, and damaging ritual.

It's not for farms. Farmers have been the biggest opponents to DST, and have been since its inception.

DST was created for energy conservation for WW1, and it's dubious whether it was effective even back then.

DST does not affect whether productive members of society wake up in the dark, for we wake up very early.

Now it is 5pm and dark outside, it super sucks.

Isnt daylight savings the one when we spring ahead?

So is the default when the hour is forward or backwards?
