I remember in 11th grade, 16 year old me went in costume and when I got to one house .. they were like, "Aren't you too old to trick or treat?" I was like WTF in my head. I stopped after.

I know some people trick or treated until they were 18 or even 19.

Imo I think it should be 18, but whatever.

I think I stopped when I was about 14 for good.

I stopped at 16 but knew at 14 I should had stopped.

9th grade, if they drop out before then 15 at the earliest.

Everyone likes free candy, there is no cutoff.

It's up to the environment you live in; places like Salem, MA you can get away with it for life, but more conservative places I'd say once you go through puberty.

I'd say maybe around 18-21. I'd rather see teens trick or treating then getting into trouble. It's just candy. There's literally no harm in it.

The last year I did it was when I was 10 and then I didn't feel like doing it anymore, but I think up until 12 is about right.

Looking back on Halloween I used to get those "tall" comments too and I was like 13 or 14. Therefore I think 14 was my last year. It was awkward at the time but a good fuck you feels proper now. Given how fast those years go by. Sincerely, fuck you.

People who encourage the youth to not to something youthful like trick or treating. Something that is only a once in a year thing while they're still young are the most miserable fucking people on earth.

It's illegal for kids over 12 to trick or treat around here. It's actually a misdemeanor.

Nobody in Sydney did Halloween until the late 2010s. So I grew up without doing a single one.

I think I stopped around 12 since my middle school started too fucking early to be out even slightly late. If I remember right, first bell was before 7am.

Yeah, in most areas you'll get the stink eye from people if you go door to door as a high schooler. Even in middle school some houses will be stingy with the candy to discourage you.

On the flipside, once you're an adult you can simply buy your favorite candy the day after Halloween when it is on markdown. Saves time.

I'd say after high school. I did trick-or-treat at least once when I was 20 because I went with friends who were still in high school.
