The kitty collision knocked the man to the ground, as shown in footage obtained by the outlet, and reportedly left him unconscious. Someone who witnessed the unusual cat attack called emergency services and the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The hospital found that the man sustained a cervical spinal cord injury from the feline landing on his head, reports Metro. The elderly dog walker was eventually discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home in a neck brace.

The outlet also reported that both the cat and dog involved in the incident appear to have left the bizarre event unharmed. The injured dog walker is seeking compensation for his medical bills related to the falling cat from the feline's owner. According to the Post, the cat belongs to one of the man's neighbors.

I almost didn't want to watch because of the age restriction, but the video was relatively tame, despite the injury to the old man. The owner of that cat should pay restitution.

I like how even though the dog wasn't really paying too much attention at first, he knew the cat has done it. He clocked that cat up there earlier, went to do his business, then saw the cat chilling by the vestibule with his pops on the ground. He was like, "Was it you? Did you do it?! I knew I couldn't trust you!"
