Namely how far too many people can't separate antisemitism from being critical of Israel or being pro Palestine without being antisemitic. Even though I'm not an advocate for a one-state solution with regards to the conflict I do acknowledge that being one isn't inherently antisemitic as I've come across several one-staters who have made it clear that they have no problems with Jews living in the region though they oppose Zionism. But across much of the west a lot of people have tied the pro-Palestine cause with being in favor of discriminating Jewish people who don't even fucking live in Israel and people tying pro-Zionism with discrimination towards Palestinian people who also don't live there.

There's no hope for peace in the region until people worldwide can understand nuance and that doesn't appear to happening in our lifetimes.

Even if all the rest of the region was divided evenly Jerusalem wouldnt be. Itll always be an area of contention

Israel and certain political pundits have been aggressively arguing for decades that any criticism of the Israeli government is antisemitism. That Jewish people and the Israeli Government are interchangable.

This isn't a new thing nor is it a random thing, it has been cultivated.

Almost want to say clear everyone out of the area and level it so neither of them has it, buuuuut that would 100% just cause waaay more problems.

That was the goal. The IDF literally beat up Jewish people calling for peace.

You know, that's true. However the vast majority of the people I interact with probably just don't care that much about it, so why start now I guess

However, some people are just unaware, and others would use seek to sell them only their story and gain their support.

The only pro-Palestine=anti-Jewish people I've seen came from the people who'd vote for the current Israeli government officials if they lived in Israel.
Not that their aren't pro-Palestine people who are also antisemitic, but that's not universal among those who support Palestine, nor is it the core of the pro-Palestine as a whole.

People who aren't closely tied to either Israel's government or more powerful people in USA's government who support Israel or just want to target SWANA people?
