I got the new iced gingerbread chai oatmilk latte at Starbucks yesterday and had the worst anxiety of my life the rest of the day. My heart was racing. Has anyone ever had this happen before? Im worried it was the oatmilk

No way caffeine could do that.

Never heard of oatmilk giving anxiety, and I drink it frequently (also as a substitute for cow milk).
Do you have any known allergies, or was it perhaps a particularly noisy area?

I think Caffeine can give you anxiety even if you're used to it. It's probably the caffeine, not the fake dairy.

im allergic to dustmites :v no known food allergies tho. I didnt even drink it there, I got it to go before I did some shopping. Even when I went to bed that night my heart was still racing from it.

I wonder if they made it wrong or something

Yes, the process of milking the oats is very stressful on them. That transfers to the milk itself. Cow milk doesn't have this issue because cows in general don't give a fuck

that was probably it now that I think about it, I normally get sugar free stuff to drink but I got that as a little treat since it was new and seasonal. Never again though

Its definitely the oak milk.

In no rational society would we make oats lactate.

Its the sugar and caffeine. Mainly the sugar, as a coffee at Starbucks should have no more than 120 mg even at the most. Which is still a bit
