I listen to podcasts at 2x speed and YouTube videos at 1.75x speed. It just saves time.

i do it for audiobooks, which i rarely listen to. i also don't watch videos of people just talking about shit, but i'd imagine i'd do the same, because it's just empty fluff anyway no matter how fast or slow it gets to you.

Once I started doing this, I couldn't go back. Even 1.75 speed sometimes
So many Youtubers talk slowly or pad out their videos. You really get the same level of entertainment in less time 85+% of the time (at least for non music videos as TC said) Only downside is often quick visual gags go by too fast But man I reccomend it too. Jrose11 might be the king of this
He does incredibly fun Solo Pokemon challenges (Mainly Gen 1) and his videos are usually over 35 minutes long. I reccomend him strongly. But....he...talks....like....this.... He's Canadian and is basically the living version of that Simpsons joke where Bart is in a remedial program and the kid goes "I come. from Canada. and they think I'm slow. I watch really long videos, like 4+ hours, at 2x speed, but only from one particular person. Otherwise I usually watch most others at 1.25 speed.
