I love how nobody has pointed out that you clearly meant to use the word 'disparagingly' but either got the wrong word or was screwed by auto-correct.

Also the straight white men most getting offended by 'cis' are not an oppressed group and Mr. "I paid $44 billion to trigger the libs" is definitely not oppressed. That's the main difference here.

Homo is scientifically just the opposite of being hetero. But obviously we dont go around pretending homo cant be used as a slur.

Cis could be used as a slur. More often than not the claim of it being a slur is disingenuous. But still.

Being able to use a word in a disparaging manner does not mean that that word is irrevocably a slur despite Musk's claim of cis being a slur.

Cis is also not a heterosexual slur as the words are not related beyond the "just call us normal" crowd that so much want to paint anything other than themselves as abnormal.

Except "homo" IS used as a slur. There's no "possible" there because it's an actual thing. "Cis" is not and doesn't get used that way, so if you're going to talk about "possibility" then that would apply to nearly every word. Which is not a smart way to view things.
