Mega Man 7 is a great game, what are you kids smoking.
It just didn't review well because Mega Man X 1 and 2 were already out.

But you dont control the bosses

Mega man 5 bosses are both uncreative and unfun.
And the weapons suck too.

9 > 10 > 3 > 2 > 4 > 6 > R&F > 11 > 5 > 1 > 7 > 8

7 is really bad. It always felt slow and boring (which the 8-bit games had a bit of as well, but they covered it up really well). The biggest issue is the sprite size. The sprites felt bigger than they should be, which to me has always been the hallmark of a bad game. It means that you get less chance to react to situations and instead have to rely on memorization. Something that has always been the opposite of how Mega Man is supposed to function.

The bosses being unmemorable (which is saying something when I can easily name memorable boss fights in every other game) is just the icing on the cake. About the only "memorable" fight is the final boss, and that is only because how horrible it is.

Mega Man & Bass or Rockman & Forte are just worse.

Those game are such a slog, and incredibly punishing for all the wrong reasons. I've beaten both the SNES and GBA versions.

Never again.

But now that I think of it, 7 isn't much better. Or 8 for that matter. I have yet to play 11 tho.

You don't remember Junk Man, Burst Man, Turbo Man, or Shade Man? Heck, even against the TC Turbo Man isn't even slow and he's got more going for him than Charge Man. Junk Man's shield is one of the better shield abilities in the series.

I wasn't talking about their design, just the way the game plays them.
