It's definitely yum. Also salami and pepperoni the same thing? Heresy! That hurts me right in the Italian. It's a subset of salami! All pepperoni is salami but not all salami is pepperoni.

It's like saying rectangles and squares are the same thing.

Pepperoni is popular for a reason. Its light enough to never affect crust integrity. You can bite through without leaving stuff hanging out your mouth, the spicy taste compliments the tangy sauce and texture if the cheese. It is the perfect pizza topping

No, it's just a type of salami.

Like, it might be initially made in the States, I don't know, but there's various kinds of salami and pepperoni falls under that umbrella.

I think the typical "salami" that Americans put on pizza is Genoa salami. We typically put cotto salami on sandwiches.

I like salami on pizzas. Typically I usually use pepperoni, but salami is a great alternative or addition to pepperoni.
