Personally I'm a thigh guy but if this is strictly about wings vs drumsticks I will always opt for drumsticks. I pretty much never waste my time with wings.

The flats are better for the uniform texture. I still eat the cartilage on the drums though.

Tough choice, tbh.

Drums are easier to grab, dip, and bite... along with having a bit more meat on them.

Flats take a bit more work, but leaving them clean to the bone is way too satisfying.

I prefer flats. More meat, I think it tastes better than the drumettes because of a better "skin to meat" ratio, less cartlidge too.

Also, and I'm surprised most people don't do this, I seperate the two bones by biting down on the tip and pulling them apart. I will say that the drumettes are better for dipping into sauces or ranch if you are in to that.

Flats taste better but don't have as much meat. It's like you separate the 2 bones and get a little sliver of meat out. I think they have more skin on them than meat.

Yeah, when I get my Popeyes I always substitute the wing for something else. If a 3 piece I get a breast, leg, and thigh. If a 4, another leg.
