That's why I always cook past al dente. It just doesn't have good mouth feel otherwise.

Pasta cooked until Al Dente, it was the first thing I learned when I helped my mom in the kitchen...and we aren't even Italian lol.

I always use a timer to cook my noodles for 7 minutes 30 seconds. But I also check a noodle before straining in case
