I have to, it's part of my job >_> It's honestly better than 12 hour clocks once you get used to it

When I was in Japan, they did weird shit like "Open from 18:00-26:00" whenever a time limit would go past midnight. That took some getting used to.

But when people say it, it's usually a sign that they spend a lot of time imagining that they are some kind of special forces operative.

I remember when I first went to USA as an exchange student and one of my m8s in my dorm saw the time in the bottom of my laptop screen and asked "why do you have your computer on military time?" and I was all "wtf is military time?".

tl;dr: The rest of the world just calls it 'the time'.

Sure, because it was everywhere.

And I think it's an quite elegant solution.

Stuff like

"Open Monday to Friday, 08:00-26:00" seems smoother than some 08:00-02:00", with the 02:00 already being Saturday.

Using am/pm in written stuff is so dumb.
0-24 is far superior.

But when I'm talking or even texting someone, I'll just write let's say 7, because it's kinda obvious which time it refers to. Won't call anyone for a drink at 7am, obviously.

Very easily. I had to learn it for work years ago. The way I taught myself when I was confused at first was to just subtract 12 from anything over 12, and there's your PM. But after a while I just started remembering which was which without having to do any math.

Was kinda facetious. 14:00 is said as 2, but as far as I know the US military actually calls it fourteen hundred hours.
