First 2 episodes came out tonight, can only watch the first for the moment.

I rewatched the whole series recently so it's all pretty fresh.

Not bad! I think the very first scene for every new character was pretty awkward, other than Alan, but they all slowly grew in me for the rest of the episodes. I wasn't big on the sets, too sterile as most modern sitcoms are, but the camerawork was on point to the original, and I was relieved by the introduction of the large, open apartment at the end of the episode since I feel like that non-claustorophic main set is pretty important for Frasier.

I think the weakest link for the moment is the Nephew, maybe it's Big Bang Theory PTSD that put me off younger characters that act like this. Will give it time.

The last couple minutes gave me quite a bit of hope.

And of course Frasier himself was completely on point.

Kelsey Grammer has been Frasier for 20 years so I had little doubt he'd be able to fall back into the character pretty effortlessly

they're giving the nephew too many lines that would work for niles but don't work for him. at this point the show would be far better without him

He's too whiny. Niles had lines that would be given to whiny voiced character in a sitcom nowadays, but Niles himself was not whiny, he was posh.

Thankfully that's something that can probably be fixed with time.

No, the show ended with him leaving Seattle to pursue true love

They already did in episode, they recently got divorced. It was a fairly throwaway line, but maybe they'll get into it at some point?

Second episode watched, better than the first.

Nephew (need to rememeber his name) was used subtly and in the credits gag and worked well for that.

I think now the thing that needs to be dialed back is the audience.
