Texas reportedly paid a private company $75.5 million in the span of a year to transport migrants to sanctuary cities across the U.S.

Transaction data provided by the Texas Department of Emergency Management shows the state paid Wynne Transportation $75,561,032.72 from Aug. 19, 2022, through Aug. 23, 2023, to bus migrants out of state.

How much in federal funds did they take to "fix" their power grid again?

New York City.
And now the mayor is asking to bus them somewhere else because there is no more room.
It's something that needs to be addressed for sure. Just bussing people around the country to say "here you deal with this" isn't good for anyone.

Red states are the places that could actually use them. Yet they will screw over their state for virtue signals.

Devil's advocate: What is Texas supposed to do with the surge of migrants at the country's border? Just leave it a Texas problem? Let those border cities resources be overrun? I love immigrants but NIMBY? What's sanctuary city if it doesn't have anyone to sanctuary in it?

For the most part. They bus them to migrant support locations in blue states without notifying them and essentially just dump them, after lying to them to get them on the bus in the first place.

https://www.texastribune.org/2023/07/06/texas-electricity-grid-federal-grant-extreme-weather/

The Texas Division of Emergency Management will receive $60.6 million from the federal government to help utilities strengthen infrastructure on the states electricity grid.

The U.S. Department of Energy announced Thursday that it will award the funds so that Texas power grid might better withstand extreme weather events. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law created the grant program.

Texas literally paid a contractor $15m more to traffic migrants than they received in funds to fix their power grid. What a joke of a state and a governor.

Just a quick check, and it was at least the Florida ones, though I'd suspect Texas wasn't exactly on the up and up with the migrants either. Also, yeah....

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/02/us/migrants-marthas-vineyard-desantis-texas.html

Florida officials have provided little information about the program or how it was engineered. But details have begun to emerge of the clandestine mission that was carried out without the knowledge of even the Texas governor, Greg Abbott, a fellow Republican: flights paid for with state money in possible violation of the state law that allocated the money; a charter airline company with political ties to the Florida governor.

They could start by coordinating it instead of just shipping them up there unannounced.
