Just when you finally stopped having that nightmare that you overslept class on the day of the final, turns out your grades were miscalculated and you have to go back anyways.

Work won't call the school to verify your degree when you have had previous jobs.

Basically only matters for your first job. And you got the paper anyways. Rescind all they want.

If a miscalculated graded was enough to fail you out of the program, you fucked to quite a bit prior to that. You knew that though and went with it.

At this point, youve been in the industry long enough to be able to retake the class and pass it, if it was a core requirement.

If you dont care, then no job 10 yards later will require a transcript anyway.

A few months ago I had essentially that dream, but it was kindergarten or third grade or something and I had to repeat that year or else I'd lose my degree.

I get school related dreams a lot. The most common one is that there's a class that I haven't been going to for whatever reason and have obviously been missing tests/assignments. It's usually a math class or something hard. Then one day I actually have to go to class and confront how bad the damage is. It usually takes place in college or more rarely high school.

Then I wake up and it usually takes a couple seconds for the stress to wear off and remember that it's almost been a decade since I was enrolled in any form of school.

For me it's usually a history or English class. I'll have forgotten I was taking one and the other has a paper due in a few days that I should have been working on all semester.

For me it's usually some sort of history class. I'll usually skip the class because I think it's easy and I don't need to put the work in, so I'll devote all my time to classes with more difficult subject matter. Then next thing I know too much time has passed and I've missed exams and term projects so I'm failing the class with no way to make it up. Then I wake up thanking God I already have my degree.

No school is going to audit graduates from a decade ago, outside of that school having legal or accreditation problems or something, and even then probably not.
This is just a bad sitcom plot.

I've never had this dream about college, but I've had dreams where I was back in high school since I didn't have that degree for some reason.

The funny thing is I know I have a college degree in the dream, so I don't see why I care and just don't leave, lol.

My college was pretty hard, so I struggled in class on top of dealing with a lot of other issues. Barely graduated with just pure guts and spending sleepless nights

So I've definitely had nightmares where it turns out I was still in the week of finals

That class you've been skipping/didn't even know you were enrolled in has an exam that you have no idea what the material is about.

That class you're barely passing has a huge project worth 30% of your grade due next week that you haven't started/didn't even know about.

Then you wake up and realize you already graduated 10 years ago.

Still feels real.

I remember having to fight a grade on my grad exams in college...

It turned out everyone who took it failed due to a grading error by the test admins (these admins were brand new)...

We all appealed and won due to the mistake...and got to get our grad degrees...

Man though those weeks wondering what happened were infuriating though...

I didn't realize this dream was so common. For me it could be any class, but it's all college, yeah. Used to get it a lot. Completely stopped since I got gainful employment.

I get that one too with the added stress of I forget where the class is located.

I graduated highschool in 2001, and in the years since, I occasionally have a repeating dream of being back in school, but I never graduated and have to finish my final year. But the real twist is that every time I have this dream, I'm not the age I was in 2001. I'm the current age at the time I have the dream. So I keep getting older but still sitting in a classroom surrounded by normal aged students

I always feel very awkward in the dream

I have the "school" dream probably once a year. Very unlogical and nonsense though with no clear pattern like all my dreams.

I will be back in school and so will everyone else. I will be thinking.....fuck I don't remember my schedule! Or crap, IDK my locker combination I can't remember.

If I could record my dreams I could be a millionaire selling them to people who take acid or something. I have completely nonsense dreams. It really stands out. Hell, Ill have songs that don't even exist play in some of my dreams.

Seems like everyone has these school nightmare dreams. I have them once in a while and gives me so much anxiety.

Its like school/college/university makes us develop some sort of PTSD or anxiety because of all the stress we go through :/

Im assuming you mean years, but yes, many jobs do. Every single job where Ive put my degrees on the application wants to see evidence of my qualifications and the last three have required them to be notarised.

i feel like if this actually happened, the school would cut their losses and let you keep the degree. OR if they have to rescind it, only like one class would be affected so it wouldn't be a big deal to take it.

So yeah, I have these nightmares occasionally as well, pretty much.

Not that the grades were miscalculated exactly, but rather that I ended up having a class or 2 not counted, so I end up back in college having to retake stuff.

I probably have the dream 1-2x/year.

I don't think any school would ever do it. I've never heard of this happening, plus I think if people heard of an institution doing this they wouldn't want to go to that school. I wouldn't want to worry about some random audit taking away my degree a decade later because some professor or master's student put in an 8 instead of a 4 once or something.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the same in my school dreams. It's been over ten years since I've been in college but I'll be my current age/self in the dream. Like some (modern-day) video game I've been playing recently will be involved or someone I've only known in the past few years will pop up in the dream.
