If youre using it for business you can get your reimbursement.

If youre getting groceries with it no sympathies

I drive a truck. I never complain about gas prices. I have about a 20 mile round trip to work. 100 miles a week. A grocery store trip on the weekend. Outside work I barely drive and mostly stay at home in my free time.

I only have to fill up my truck once every 3 weeks. I prefer cheaper gas but dont really care what it is because ultimately I cant control it, Ill pay it no matter what it is, and its not going to make that much of a difference to me. Maybe $20 here or there between expensive and normal. Not exactly breaking my monthly budget.

Ill gladly pay the little bit more in gas for the convenience of a truck. Im 62 so getting in and out of a truck is preferred, especially the older I get. I like the long wheel base, weight, and 4 wheel drive for winter driving. It gets bad in the winter where I live and its needed. Plus the height clearance for driving through drifts. Its a godsend in the winter.

Lastly if I need to haul shit in the bed or pull a trailer, camper, or boat I can. Love having a truck and will never complain about the gas.

My 4 runner gets about 19mpg. I'm not happy about it at the moment, but where I live it is the perfect vehicle. Plus me and my wife sleep in the back instead of using a tent. We sleep back there about 8 times a year. Where I snowboard has a sketchy road and it does better than the F-150 I had. There has been a few times in southern Utah where I was really glad I was driving that. If we didn't do as much off road I would probably buy something with better gas mileage. I really like my friends' sportage and cx-50. The gas sucks right now, but it gets is everywhere and it is paid off.

It's a GLA so you aren't wrong Although they made the 2nd gen a lot more SUV like then the first which was basically just a lifted hatchback.

Don't think you can do that in America anymore. I asked the tax lady and that's what she told me

Also this. The airport parking garage is super narrow to drive down, and it's like being in a fucking plinko board trying to zig zag to avoid all the jutting out pickup truck beds (not to mention many of which are occupying multiple spots)

EVs aren't there yet, and won't be until the battery tech vastly improves or gets much cheaper.
Somehow, they're even more explosive than a gas engine that literally explodes gasoline to run.

There are some reasons to own them, but the good ones don't apply to the vast majority of owners.
