Should have had choices like "Similar, but I am more/less extreme left/right than them."

I'm a harder left, but yeah my parents vote Dem.

My Dad is full on 'won't watch TV shows/movies because they're too woke' and 'here's why Russia is actually based'.

My parents vote dem cause they're black, but they don't have a liberal bone in their body.

I think people should have rights while my parents are Trumpers so couldn't be more different really

We align more closely as I get older. A lot of that is him changing his views as he learns more

Relatively left-leaning given their age (60+), my mom moreso. Mom grew up in a family of preachers, and she has faith, but hates religion. She likes Biden and votes democrat. Dad hates him, but he hated Trump too. He's pro 2nd amendment, but hasn't been to a gun show/con in years ("Those people are fucking crazy")

My parents don't really know things, I'd say they're well meaning and without the delusions brought on by isolated communities.

Im 47 years old and my dad is 65. I legitimately dont know what his politics are or who he has ever voted for because he does what I wish everyone did, keeps his opinion to his self. We have never once had a political discussion in our lives and its glorious.

My step dad still wears a MAGA hat and they won't eat any fast food except Chick-fil-A. I'm not about that life

I grew up in a conservative, Southern Baptist household. I turned out to be liberal and non-religious.

My parents are what most would consider "far right." I think they are mid-road left....

They used to be. My parents used to be pretty excepting and left leaning until Trump came around. After that, the gop got them. So now we're on completely different sides.

There was an overlap when I was in high school. They were pretty standard Democrats and I was a "liberal" who thought Democrats were the liberal party.

But now my dad seems to be going the old boomer route and becoming a bit more conservative and I'm way further left.

But I might be similar to my mom's original views before she met my dad. She was originally very liberal in her youth. Atheist. Smoked weed. Voted Democrat I think. Then she married my dad and she has supported the Republicans ever since and converted to Catholicism

Yes you may consider me awful, but I have ample empathy--but not when people are in horrible situations of their own doing.

No, my parents were right wing to the point of facism. They would generally try to convince people that Hitler was not that bad.

I do not share their views. Im very much on the left.

My parents arent hardcore right leaning but they do absorb some right wing beliefs. I dont.

Not too sure of my mom's overall actual political views outside of she doesn't vote blue.

Not really. My parents both came strong democrat voting union families and I still share the core of that.

I made a hard left turn after watching the Obama admin destroy the occupy movement and try and play bipartisanship politics with people who hated him and actively worked to prevent him from accomplishing anything.

He tried to cooperate with people spewed conspiracy about his birthplace, with people who accused him of being the literal antichrist.

Watching liberals be more concerned with optics and "moral victories" than with fixing the problems the problems that plague our so society has made me despise them. They'd rather observe social and political norms so they can claim the moral highground as fascists try and destroy the country.

Canadian so a little different... BUT, My mother is center right wing who at this point refuses to vote for the conservative party of Canada due to its slide into American far right tenancies. My dad is mostly center with the occasional left wing opinion since he has been fairly pro union his entire life, my older brother used to be right wing but as he started to work and get more life experience became more left leaning in most political viewpoints while i have been fairly left wing my entire life

Youre looking too deep into it. I found the screaming extremely annoying so I made a smartass comment about how I wouldnt mind seeing her leaving in cuffs at the end. No I didnt actually want them going in, no I didnt want someone assaulted. The expression about being dragged away from something where Im from literally just means being removed from, not beaten. Like you might drag your kid away from a game. It means remove, not child abuse. NI was hoping she would come to the door to talk shit and they would simply arrest her annoying ass with a warrant. Its like those videos of people screaming sovereign citizen I always find annoying and satisfying when they go away in cuffs. I can only go by the video, they said they had a warrant. Dont know for sure if thats a lie or not. No I dont support blocking the camera.

The part that annoys me is where you drew the conclusion that I support black people being beaten. THAT is just straight up a wrong conclusion and made up. Unless I missed something obvious how was color brought into a voice on a ring camera? Where in the world do you make the assumption Im ok with black people being beaten? Overstep their bounds and physically enter somebody's home and drag somebody away.

Seems like a pretty natural assumption, given the context.

The topic was about exactly that happening, and your post in the topic was... Saying you hoped EXACTLY THAT happened to somebody else.

It's not a leap at all, given the topic you made the post in. The topic was about that happening, and you literally made a post implying you had hoped it had happened to somebody else, in an unrelated video, because you found them "annoying."
