Right, but to be fair, I don't fully believe them, because most of the people saying they'd just drop this place cold turkey spend a LOT of every day here.

Because they see no loss in doing so, losing a financial incentive just to come here becomes a loss. I get your point, we could all be spending our time more wisely doing something else, even while typing this I'm literally looking at the time and thinking about how I could be playing Starfield.

I just think money is a surprising to some motivator because it opens doors that aren't currently open to us.

Ideally we'd all be making 6 figures, enjoying what we do, and still able to come here. However, when it comes down to 6 figures or posting on a specific website, the choice seems very obvious.

My issue is... Imagine if you enjoy pretty much any collab game, like Smash. Do you know how many series that would eliminate, alone? It's too insane for me to even think about, which is why I said no.

If its in your current top 30 current gaming IPs, then yes. Doesn't matter if its the only game in its franchise and never gets a sequel, if its one of your current favorite games, it counts as a standalone IP.

I don't disagree, in theory. There are plenty of things I'd give up for six figures and no work requirement. That said, if it's something I did literally every day, for several hours, I'd expect people to rightfully question me on if I was REALLY willing to give it up, or if I was just saying so.

I think that's my point, mainly. I've seen people here say "I'd leave GameFAQs in a heartbeat for X" that post here nearly 24/7, which you can understand made me suspicious of if they actually could or not.

So if Souls games are in my Top 30, can I still play Sekiro? Im assuming since Patches shows up in Demons Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring I couldnt play those.

Is Paper Mario a different franchise than Mario? As in would that count as one or two out of my top 30?

Id take the money either way, but Im more interested in what Im losing.

Not familiar with either Souls or Sekiro. If they are a connected universe, then yes its blocked. If they are simply separate IPs that happen to just be made by the same developer without any characters or locations carrying over, then its safe.

They are separate but Patches appears in most of their games.

It doesn't mean popular top 30. It means YOUR top 30. Which means the top 30 most played series from any games you've played.

No I understood, but my statement still stands. My top 30 would be smaller indie games, but removing those would leave me with what people consider to be popular AAA franchises. Most of which I've never played.
