Many people do feel that way, so it is somewhat common, but it also is not "normal", as in it is something that should be worked on. You are going to therapy, so that is good. I don't mean that as a dig btw, as I have issues too. Most of us do, and this just happens to be one of yours. This also explains why you can't understand why others see appeal in it.
