They were already "at work" from home, their employer just wants to unnecessarily waste their time commuting (unpaid) and enforcing a lame dress code that WFH has demonstrated has no correlation with professionalism or productivity. If employers desperately want people to return to the office they should be offering compensation for the commute. Not expecting an hourly pay, but they could at least compensate the gas. Especially for industries that COVID proved have no real need for an office setting. --- My metal band, Ivory King, has 2 songs out now - allmylinks.com/ivorykingtx (all of our links there so you can choose which one you'd prefer to use) ... What's with the odd number of people coming to defend the idea of arbitrarily forcing someone to return to the office after successfully working from home the last 3 years?

What's with the odd number of people coming to defend the idea of arbitrarily forcing someone to return to the office after successfully working from home the last 3 years? Capitalist/Job Crater propaganda and narratives have a stranglehold on this country that the COVID years helped chipped at, however still persists. At least far more workers are finally realizing their actual value and that they don't have to feel beholden or shackled to a job they should "be grateful just to have". --- My metal band, Ivory King, has 2 songs out now - allmylinks.com/ivorykingtx (all of our links there so you can choose which one you'd prefer to use) ... What's with the odd number of people coming to defend the idea of arbitrarily forcing someone to return to the office after successfully working from home the last 3 years?4 types of people: The type who are jealous they can't work from home. The type of people who are stuck in their old ways. They think getting work done isn't possible if you aren't face to face in the office. This type, although misguided, tends to genuinely believe face to face in the office is more productive. What's with the odd number of people coming to defend the idea of arbitrarily forcing someone to return to the office after successfully working from home the last 3 years? Blue collar workers / technicians / etc. that cant WFH I imagine. And I get it. These people are subjected to bullshit day in day out like long hours, weather, and other bullshit that comes up as a result of them being *physically there* as opposed to an armchair engineer that gives them a hard time for a simple mistake and whines when they have to go into the office when these guys travel almost hundreds of miles a day between job sites. Thing is, theyre directing their concerns at the wrong demographic - they should be compensated better by the employer for all the additional travel and physical hands-on work. But thats all by design by the manager and owner types really. --- AFK: Attack, fight, kill!! The healer is telling you to go pull mobs.
