Is this accurate to how Jamaicans actually talk or just a stereotype? I dont know either way.

Jamaicans (and other Carribbean/West Indian groups) use patois which is basically its own dialect/mini-language based off English. In this context it's bad writing/localization and "mi" is the more accurate word.
