Miyamoto is one of the GOAT video game creators of all time, but he probably is stuck in his ways to a certain degree and may be holding Nintendo back

Yes it's true.
I am happy to be stuck with you.

Hes definitely stuck in his ways and not all of his ideas are bangers, but I have no idea how his departure would affect Nintendo.

The day after Miyamoto retires, Nintendo is going to announce an open-world Mario RPG in collaboration with Ubisoft.

I remember when there was a rumor that Miyamoto was retiring, their stock tanked like 15% in a day lol. They literally had to make a public statement saying it was false and to please buy their shares back.

The fact that some of Nintendo's most beloved titles were "I went and did a bunch of stuff behind Miyamoto-san's back and he was too late to stop me" kind of says it all imo.

His games are usually polished and fun, but more often than not I end up missing the story especially. I never finished SMG2 just because there were like, no characters to get attached to. Felt like a downgrade even though ostensibly the gameplay was an improvement in most ways.

Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. It's something we decide for ourselves.

More says a lot about the work culture then anything.
