Tellah is an awful character and I feel like he was written to be on purpose. Overbearing angry old guy who doesnt allow his family to be happy and doesnt understand his mistake until its too late hits way too close to home for too many people for anyone to bother supporting him seriously.

Tellah is my favorite character from IV! Angry vengeful dad is great. Plus I played the remake version and his voice acting made him sound super cool. "I will find this Golbez!"

FFIV is a story of redemption. Tellah is important to that because he *doesn't* get that. He's too lost in his personal demons to get redemption as a father until he's too late, and in the end even the most powerful magic formed from all of his anger accomplishes nothing.

also Porom's STATS are surprisingly decent

I still have to be reminded every single time which one is Porom and which one is Palom. Just never sticks.
