This community is maybe the worst complainers on the planet, so it's a good time to point out how good they actually have it.

What games are you talking about and what's so good about appreciating games?

Every year is better than the last. Peoples' minds are just clouded by nostalgia and they like to bitch about things.

I tried, but Squeenix fired me from the marketing department after I made a Moogle waifu gacha game.

But aren't many of these games remakes or remasters of older titles?

Oh that sounds fun, I'd like to give it a try. I don't really remember what came out but I bet there's some.

-Jedi Survivor PC was full price and didn't work.
-Gollum actually managed to get collectively laughed at instead of having a bunch of people inexplicably defending it.
-TLOU 1 remake PC didn't work.
-Hogwarts Legacy was pretty generic but rode the controversy to success.
-Everyone hated Redfall right?
-Starfield (Todd game) (Free space)
-RE4 Remake was the yearly cashgrab. They're selling things that were in the base PS2 release back as DLC now.
-I'd like to pre-emptively put Payday 3 on here even though it's not out yet because of the leaks that said it's always online, probably has Denuvo and will have microtransactions.
-Every Gacha (Free space)
-Fortnite's still around and using FOMO to get people to buy things isn't it?
-I wanna get Pokemon SV and Overwatch 2 in here even though they're 2022.
Edit: Oh and I'm still waiting for Diablo 4 to turn into Diablo Immortal at some point.

It's a golden age of gaming if you're into the indie scene.

A bunch of sequels and remakes hardly anything original.

I'd argue that half that list is doo doo even.

Starfield is just Skyrim in space with hardly anything innovative (You know what Baldur's Gate 3 does). Bunch of big empty planets with no land vehicles.

Final Fantasy 16, Alan Wake 2 and Spider-man 2 aren't even out yet, hard to judge the quality of something that's not out.

Making bets on Spider-Man and Final fantasy game time being supplemented by boring quests/missions that are more like busy work or chores than anything.

The first four games are the highest quality games but hardly makes this a golden age of gaming. In general, it's hard for us to get many good titles anymore because the best way for large publishers to make money is no longer just to make a good game, It's to fill it with microtransactions, have battle passes and try to be the next biggest multiplayer game.

The fact that genshin impact and I believe FIFA made way more money then Elden Ring, the best original game in recent times tells big publishers all they need.
