Garabandal 09/15/23 9:46:10 PM #1:	In the Old Testament, God would appoint Judges to deliver Israel from her enemies. Mario and Luigi clearly play the part of the Biblical judges. They can also be seen as representing Moses and Aaron, who God appointed to deliver the Israelites out of Egypt (desert levels in Mario games often use Egyptian imagery like pyramids and sphinxes). The villains of the Mario games being reptilians that Mario jumps on to defeat is also important. In Genesis 3:15, God says this to the Serpent: And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. Also: turtles are unclean animals according to Leviticus 11:29-30, while mushrooms are kosher. Satan is represented as a dragon in the Book of Revelation, and in Chapter 12 he tries to kidnap a woman "clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars."
