Im pretty sure if you asked Pokmon fans none of these requests would be on it.

i think most people would take a game that has
1 region
with 2015 graphics
that plays like a proper well made game
doesnt cut prior gen gimmicks
gives the player options to turn things off (like exp share)
and is properly balanced or at the very least has some difficulty

It definitely isn't. That would be a PR nightmare for the Pokemon Company. Plus, Satoshi Tajiri rarely even makes public statements and doesn't even work on the games anymore.

But the sentiment is still there even if they don't have to say it.

He is focusing on the worst ones. I'm sure there are people who want all regions and every pokemon. I don't even see the point in all regions but only Kanto pokemon. That makes no sense

Fans may suck, but they have also came up with Pokemon games that are far better than the current crop of games. I'm about halfway through Pokemon Opalo, and its far better than Sun, Sword and I would assume Scarlet, though I haven't played Scarlet. While I understand they shy away from more mature settings, they could at least listen to the complaints that many fans have voiced the past few years.

There was no need of Scarlet/Violet launching with major graphical glitches, nor was there any reason that the game couldn't have been voice acted considering how much money they end up receiving from the sales of their games. When you have side games like Detective Pikachu and Pokemon New Snap doing things that should be a staple in the baseline games, that throws up a major red flag.

New Snap had Pokemon size scaling, and Detective Pikachu had voice acting, and I'm not talking about the new one. The original Detective Pikachu on the 3ds had voice acting.

And I know Brilliant Diamond wasn't made by Game Freak, but I still have similar complaints. They do the bare minimum to make the game playable. They don't address issues that were in the original games, even when they were fixed in Platinum. They throw a shiny new coat of paint on it, and don't bother to fix the bugs or change over the controls, which cause collision issues.

Anyways, rant over on that front.

I just wish Scarlet and Violet ran at a double digit FPS with more than 5 feet of pop in for objects and textures.

I'm glad it's not a real quote because of the last line. That would be in poor taste to openly laugh at well-intentioned fans who are offering genuine advice as to what they want in the next game.

Everything up until that line is true. You would end up with a bunch of conflicting ideas that could never gel together. And there's the ever-present liability that a fan, no matter how well-intentioned or earnest they may seem, can turn around and sue you if they can prove that you used an idea that they originated. You genuinely can't listen to fan suggestions.

dude play anything from Gen 6 onwards, there are like no route repeats anymore. Theres usually like 40+ unique Pokmon lines to catch before the first gym nowadays

However thats also when the games experienced a noticeable drop in quality imo

Yeah there is. Brilliant Diamond. Not made by Game Freak, but there is a ridiculous amount of route repeats.

this is true of nearly everything made by anyone

try creating your own stories, send them out to people, and listen to what they would change. i guarantee you will think most of the ideas you get back are bad.

You want a Pokemon game that includes Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax, Terastallization, and whatever other gimmick they add, all accounted for at the same time...

...and you think such a game can be properly balanced and not a broken, overcumbersome battle system?

Especially with the common demand that every game include all 1000+ species and regional variants of Pokemon at launch with no cuts?

Reminds me of spiderman ps4.

I buy the game hoping to be a smooth 30fps on ps4. But it still had slow downs swinging in certain areas.

That's just because it's a remake and for some reason they're incredibly strict about making the remakes nearly identical to the original games even when it would be better otherwise.

The actual games ever since X/Y have done a pretty good job with wild Pokemon variety. One of the few things they deserve some credit on.
