COS / SIN / TAN, basic trig. Solving for angles or lenths of triangle sides

Presuming no calculator is allowed, other than for trig functions, obviously.

This was the highest level of grade 9 math in the Canadian curriculum in public schools in the early 2000's. Lord knows what they're doing today.

I haven't done more than basic math in 12 years so I'd probably fail the fuck outta that test.

I mean, I couldnt tell you the 15th root of 243 off the top of my head, but math was one of my majors and I used to make up Calculus integrals to solve to amuse myself in the boring classes, so I think Id be fine.

If they just wanted you to simplify that expression... 15th root of 3^5 would be 3^(5/15) which can be simplified to cube root of 3. Multiplying out 3^5 to 243 is a misstep if you're trying to simplify it. Presumably it's written as an intentional trick.

I'm confident enough I could get a 100% on a test assessing knowledge, but on a math competition deliberately trying to trick me, I wouldn't be surprised if a question or 2 got me.

I do so badly that I have to pay them instead.

Give me an hour to skim the textbook and I'd ace.

Otherwise I get filtered by having to do those roots by hand.

Biggest problem will be my time limit.

I'm confident that I can solve all trigonometry stuff (I sometimes have to use them at my job), but I would have to draw around a lot, to make sure that I use the correct one of sin/cos.

I'd need to be retaught most likely. I don't remember the majority of math stuff I learned in high school.

I don't recall doing complex roots in ninth grade, and trigonometry was tenth grade. Must be a fault of the American public educational system.

This is basically where I started to check out of math, when up until then it was basically my favorite school subject.
