How the fuck can I say, in American English, that I have one room with a bathtub/shower and another room with a toilet if Americans refer to everything as a bathroom?

Just say you have two bathrooms. Watch the chaos unfold as the guest needing to shit goes in the wrong one.

Wouldn't one of them be a restroom? Lavatory? Water closet?

Older homes in San Francisco often have toilets in a separate room from the bath/shower. Most Americans don't live like peasants though and keep it together in one room.

Here in New Zealand it's endemic though even in newer homes. Kind of stupid that you have to wash your hands in a separate room from the toilet. I guess people here say toilet for the toilet room, and bathroom for the bath/shower room.

Generally if it's only a toilet and sink people call it a half bathroom.

Americans dont refer to everything as a bathroom. We refer to just toilet rooms as half bathrooms and rooms with a toilet and shower as full bathrooms. Sorry about your ignorance and all, but this is a problem you have made up.

Don't listen to this dude, they obviously aren't American.
You just need to describe the bathroom.
For example "toilet bathroom" "shower bathroom" "bed bathroom" "living space bathroom" "fridge bathroom" etc.

Yeah, just call it a half bathroom or a powder room.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
