I doubt she is very concerned. I do not know if her directive will stand up to Constitutional scrutiny-if I had to guess, I would say sadly that it wont. It is also largely performative, since law enforcement has mostly voiced a refusal to enforce it. I do know this-we have to start doing something drastic about guns in this country. Things cant keep going the way they are-there is too much gun violence in this nation. I am much more concerned about starting a real conversation about gun control in the state where I grew up than the slight inconvenience faced by gun owners. If this starts that conversation in one household, it was worth it.
