Ok, the game has been out for over 35 years now. I think we can finally have an honest discussion about the game since other stuff like Gex and Peggle 2 have released.

Ill start off by saying that while the music is catchy, only 4 or so tracks really gets tiring.

i cant get into it the graphics and music are too terrible for me. i bet it was super easy to make a great game back then because people had lower standards

I never beat that game, too hard. I think I made it as far as one of those night levels before ultimately giving up I did beat Super Mario world and that one game with Wart

Going through all the levels is actually kinda boring. At least World 5&6 are boring, and 7 is unremarkable except for having snow

All of World 1 is a set of perfect levels

Original Super Mario Bros. was revolutionary for its time but feels pretty dated now. Graphically as well as design wise.

The franchise didn't really pop off until SMB3, which came out on the same console and is several orders of magnitude more polished.

It's a lot like original LoZ versus Link to the Past. LoZ is a classic, but its design is very dated. LttP feels smooth and looks good even by today's standards.
