My favorite bit of that intro is the part where they introduce Douglas as Doglas.
Oh and I guess I like the stills because they were used in videos for a bunch of MMX musical arranges a decade ago. The X2 one with the X Hunters is the best one.

tried to get a screen grab of that one but it switched too quickly before I could. it's almost 3 am here so now that i've got a save file started i'm gonna call it a night and get back to it later.

Getting back to the game after spending my day off getting stuff done and spending some time with the gf. For now just running around the stages to get life ups and armor upgrades while running down the clock to get better drops from the bosses

I actually think the bad ending is the best one in X5 (Zero goes Maverick and X puts him down). Of course it isnt canon, but it felt the best and was the most climactic. The official ending doesnt even feel like a finale. It just happens. And the X vs Zero scene is so over and done that it felt like an afterthought. The series had been building up to it since X2, and it was just wow that was tough ok back to business!

with inafune's original plan for the zero series i think our life or death battle of X vs Zero was suppose to be there. only capcom decided "lol get fucked. we want some more of this sweet sweet X money"

doesn't he though? i get to fight super saiyan zero...no one give DB Super that idea. they'll do it. on top of that i've been reading that if you don't beat him fast enough he goes ultra instinct and kills your ass and there's nothing you can do about it.

About the endings

There is a kind of way to manipulate it, in a way. It is so complex and stupid though. But basically, iirc, once you are finished eith a stage, you are locked into that number.

that was...um...uneventful. i died the first time and second time around he just kept using his nova strike over and over so was able to use mine over and over. well that's it for tonight. i got a super early day tomorrow. if anyone is still following along.

Yeah you can really manipulate his AI. If you stay above him or in the air he keeps hitting the ground and sending fireballs up.
The main change in this version of the fight is the charged shots, they stop and change direction now.

got tired of dying and just spammed nova strike over and over. caused enough damage i was finally able to beat him and get the bad ending. debating if i want to go again to get the good ending with X and Zero. nah, let's move on shall we? on the shit fest that was 6! no inafune, who was busy working on the first zero game. a crappy excuse from zero that amounts to "i fell asleep early, that's why i never answered your texts or calls". i'll come back to 5 to get the other endings.

Never understood why they went the cinematic route for Megaman X. If only they had kept it simple like the first 3 games, I might have enjoyed more of them.

after the intro stage i just ran through yammarks level to get some collectibles and parts from the injured reploids. i'll get back to it tomorrow.
