There's never been a decent disc golf game and that's a shame.

I think cave people games are more difficult than what they'd be worth in the current era.

Nobody gets mad if a movie or video game features a talking dog or a killer robot from the future. But place dinosaurs and cave people in a story together and people flip a table over how you're promoting creationism. Plus, going by Hollywood, most of those settings were just an excuse to put sexy women in fur bikinis and video games -- at least those made by western studios -- tend to shy away from that kind of thing.

Oh, and if you do have dinosaurs, people will get mad at you if you don't put feathers on everything with two legs.

How does placing cave people and dinosaurs in a story together promote creationism? According to creationism, neither existed.

There are no good streampunk games since BioShock and that was only kinda ok.

Even Bioshock is a stretch since it's more art deco than Victorian. There hasn't been a fully steampunk game since Arcanum.

Agreed. From Software should ether do a Bloodborne 2 or a different game with a gothic style to fill the void. If no one else will.

going through baldur's gate 3 and i kinda want to see larian get the IP and do a remake or something. the balance was kinda off with the mechanical side requiring so much stat investment compared to magic, and i want to see the game done really well.

Those games were sophomoric as hell but still generally entertaining.

Honestly, I've never heard of a game that deals with industrial espionge as its primary focus.

Like, sneaking into a warehouse or factory to discover what a company uses to make its product and sell the recipe to a competitor or something like that.

I admittedly find the concept interesting, but I have some issues with the rl US legal system that would possibly prevent me from truly enjoying it. Preparing a case is interesting as hell. Everything after that is nightmarish.

As for "journalism" games, it's a damn shame they never got around to releasing "Beyond Good and Evil 2." I think it's been like 15 years since it was first teased.
