If anything the show made him too charming and cool, he's a hopeless romantic loverboy idiot around women in the manga. I prefer the change though, Sanji's antics get really annoying and the loverboy trope has been done to death at this point, the show did a good job toning him down

He was better written with the lady gimmick from his intro arc all the way up to the star of the davy back fight imo. His intro scene with flirting with fullbodies' girl and him actually parting with the cocoyashi village post arlong pirate victory and whiskey peak ladies without losing his shit, that was the sanji I miss. Out of all the strawhats sanji was flanderized the worst (with chopper imo coming up 2nd with how hard oda focuses on his cuteness for merchandise and his afraid of the unknown being cranked up to damn near usopp scaredy cat levels from thriller bark on up).

Hell I can even pin-point the exact manga panel/anime scene that ruined sanji.....the heart pose. This one right here is the moment, lmao.
