Following that logic, we're implying here that there's a parent universe more capable than ours, and we're at the bottom of that, because there's little to suggest that we could ever simulate another universe in its entirety with our laws of physics, and that universe would be even less capable. I think the universe is made of pure math abstracted from something else natural that we cannot observe. How far up does it go? I don't know. Probably none of our logic applies.
