Surely you can rub two braincells together to figure out that a natural ecosystem creates a problem for your vegetarian utopia. Some animals need meat to survive, but in order for their prey to survive they need to not be eaten. At some point, some animals have to die in order for others to survive.

Predation is natural, but this doesn't mean that it's morally good or morally acceptable. Lots of natural things are bad. And in fact, predation is one of the clearest reasons why the wilderness is an abhorrent place.

Not enough arable land?
Would have to kill more plant eaters to prevent damage on crops.

Also pesticides usage would remain stupidly high as it is. Some dumb nations (like mine) have brought back bee-killing pesticides for their crop use, which is genius level farming ofc.

Either way, I think you should focus on nutritional value over the specific category of food.

lol if u actually believe this

meat farming is exponentially more exploitative than any sort of vegetable farming

Just thru basic physics/law of thermodynamics you'll require way more energy to farm animals bcuz U have to farm their feed and then farm them on top of it

meat farming is so unsustainable that the US govt subsidizes a huge portion of it

even a large percentage of subsidized corn is used for animal feed

Nothing you said here is an actual counter to anything I said. They're not mutually exclusive statements.

I actually eat more vegetables and pasta than meat. It isnt part of my identity, the problem is that extremist vegans say they want to abolish it entirely. Thats where theres a problem, as theyre intruding on my business, though thankfully its never going to happen.

The meat industry is full of horrible and environmentally damaging practices though. Im absolutely behind making changes in that regard - complete with government regulation forbidding them from price gouging in response to maintain their precious record profits.

Try being in the military deployed. The first items to run out during deployment are fresh fruits and vegetables. My ship went three months without an UNREP of food of any kind.

If you are in the field, you might get an MRE that is vegetarian, you might not. Here is a listing of MREs, tell me which ones are vegetarian/vegan:

Fresh meat probably runs out faster. So there are veg MREs, thus it's not impossible. The reason they aren't all veg is cultural and not about what's possible.

Elephant brains are several times larger than ours and they don't eat any fat. Dietary fat isn't needed to grow a brain. Reptiles are keto and dumb as rocks.

I think our evolutionary path was just different. It wasn't some magic woo nutrient turning us into geniuses.

The human cortex is 3 times larger than an elephant. Elephants only have bigger brains in the sense that they have a massive cerebellum.

Regardless of why that happened, fat is essential to healthy brains. On top of it being a great source of energy, it's also the stuff that makes up the myelin sheath.

But there's no reason that fat has to come from animals.

Cerebellum is made of fat too.

Eating simple carbs can heavily coat your entire body in fat, I'm proof of it.

There are healthy fats but I'm not seeing the correlation of it being a genius maker when most of the smartest animals in the world eat none of it while many of the dumbest eat the most of it.

Maybe I'm less concerned about animal rights and more concerned about healthy eating.

Perhaps I'm poor and need a decent paycheck/direction.

You have no rebuttal in regards to how someone in the military can be vegan.

Maybe the good argument is that it's nigh impossible to eat vegan when you have a limited menu of what you can eat (ala military or food desert).

Thanks for pointing out that you don't actually care about people going vegan.
