There'd be way more birds and they'd just fill the sky with their symphonies every waking moment of the day and the night. So I think that part would be just fine, plus they wouldn't choke the air with greenhouse gasses or cause nuclear explosions probably.

The most offensive thing to me is their bastardized image of Jesus Christ. They openly say that he would carry an AR15 if he were alive today. He wasnt a warrior in the first place. If Jesus came back he would most certainly not be a conservative.

The very same people who worship a man who championed charity and compassion are the most cruel and selfish people you will meet. Theyre the very people who say that not every job should pay a living wage and that not everyone deserves to live in the green. They have zero compassion for recovering addicts or people with mental disorders. They have zero compassion for people who never got a fair chance at a high paying work. What rights are Christians having taken away here in America? How many jobs were you denied for being Christian? Houses? Ability to adopt?

Compare that to the number that do use their religion as a bludgeon to justify stripping rights away from people and the many more who are silent.

BUT, that doesn't mean the rest of us aren't trying to do the right things and make our community, and the world, a better place.

Muslims and Buddhists are a religious minority in the United States and have almost no legislative political power as a community. I see people condemning the misogyny and antisemitism from Islamic fundamentalists all the time, and I agree it needs to be called out.

Okay but here's the thing: We do not see nearly enough of the "good" Christians speaking out publicly or socially about the bad ones.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks to me like most "progressive" or "tolerant" Christians are either too afraid to speak up, or they see the benefit in letting the loud, active, radical segment of their faith bully and scream because ultimately it moves legislation effectively and they aren't the ones being harmed.

Think of it like how many middle class white people might be horrified at individual stories of police brutalizing marginalized communities, but are okay with police militarization and expanded power because they aren't the ones likely to be harassed or targeted by it, instead they rationalize they are the beneficiaries of it.
