im just saying you claim to play half a dozen characters and "hit every archetype" so based on that and how often you say people leave after one game im assuming there is something about your playstyle that is uninviting

I've never understood this mentality with online play. You're not obliged to a certain number of games. It's not normal in friendlies. If they beat you and leave or get rekt and leave, move on.

im just giving my opinion based on what youve said. you seem easily upset, since this is just a common thing in fighting games and yet your main reaction was to be insulting and say that you block people. and then you seem a bit overconfident by saying things like "i hit literally every archetype", when pretty much nobody plays six characters all very well. its not a jab at you, there could be a number of reasons why somebody doesnt want to play again, but you pretty much instantly went on attack mode about it

I mean I share TC's same frustration with one and done in matches, because I also like to learn more to improve myself whether I lose or win against my opponent. The issue is I don't think TC is posting in good faith about it. Most people don't rage about it, they just go on with their lives.

I very much agree with this post.

TC, you remind me of a good friend of mine who likes to play Smash Bros with me. My GSP with Bowser is in the 98th percentile, technically, lol. These systems can be gamed, but I am still a very, VERY good player.

This friend of mine had to be taught from the ground up how to play Smash, and he SUCKED. Like, I would roll the entire roster in mirror matches and only lose a handful of times kind of bad.

But, then he got actually pretty good on his own terms. That came with a VERY inflated ego.

Like he's a better player than I am because he uses more characters kind of ego. Like he kicks players out of his arenas after one loss kind of ego. The controller always 'drifts'. There's always a lag switcher in his midst after a close loss.

And I mean he gets ANGRY. Maybe not LowTierGod angry, but DAMN. Sometimes we gotta put the controller down before we teach it to fly, and toss it across the room.

I post about it because I'm venting. This shit pisses me off because all I want to do is learn. Want to know what makes that harder? Again, I'll happily provide my CFN and y'all can check the history. I swap characters a lot and half of the people I played left on ONE.

I had a day where 6 out of 10 matches were Cammy. I struggle against her and will still play the set. Thing is, running the set is an old school mentality. I honor it, but I'm at the point where, while I find it disappointing, I understand that people don't always want a run back.

Nah no need, I'm glad you at least are willing to admit you're just venting. As long as it's not a normal occurance, there's nothing wrong about venting every once in awhile. I get the frustration that comes from one and dones, it's just bad etiquette because it denies both players from getting the full experience. Just don't make your vents your whole personality.

The sad reality is that no one owes you a Bo3 unfortunately. If you're serious about improving i would hit up forums and discords and get some first to 5's or 10's against people your level. It's a good way to learn matchups, too.
