By which I mean what is the fallout over the next several months? How do he and his supporters handle things going forward and how does it effect the election cycle?

Im assuming he would claim the nomination process was rigged, similar to the 2020 election. Hes done that every step of the way, dating back to when Cruz won the 2016 Iowa Republican caucus. Does that have any last effects?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-cruz/trump-accuses-cruz-of-stealing-iowa-caucuses-through-fraud-idUSMTZSAPEC23ZBL9YS

Do you think he stubbornly runs as a third party for the presidential election, like Ross Perot?

Would his supporters stubbornly not vote in the presidential election as a fuck you to the Republican party for snubbing their guy?

Is it the first time in his life that he just quietly steps aside for the greater good of his supposed party? Similar to how some Bernie supporters handled Hillarys 2016 nomination?

In general, what do you think would be the fallout of this scenario?

First of all, Trump will get the nomination in 2024 unless he's taken off the table by death, imprisonment, disqualification or the like. None of the pitiful Trump mini-mes running in the GOP primary are making an impression with the GOP base.

So, if we assume the impossible happens and he loses the nomination, here are my guesses:

1) He runs 3rd party to keep the grift going (and because his narcissism demands it).

2) A significant fraction of his deplorables vote for him in the general election. I.e., the GOP splits.

Trump should be in prison and barred from running for president.

Disregarding that, because you know it won't happen, the best option would be that he would run as a third-party candidate and syphon votes away from DeSantis or whoever gets the nomination for the Republican party.
