But if this is correct, then everything with 4 noms is in, and everything with 2 or below is out. And as it stands, 9 of the 54 tracks on exactly 3 nominations will make it in. But how to decide which 9 make it? There's a few options I'm considering: Run a 9 day play-in round with 6 of the 54 songs on each day, the one receiving the most votes each day gets a spot in the contest. Pro: it's democratic and all the songs get a chance to shine. Con: it's very long!! Randomly allocate the slots. Pro: it's quick! Con: Is it fair? Allocate first slots to nominators who got no tracks into the contest. Pro: More people will have a reason to be invested in the contest. Con: It may penalise early nominators who happened to get to widely popular tracks first. Prioritise games/albums with fewer reps. Pro: A more varied field. Con: There may be a reason some games have more support than others! Remove songs with a double first. Pro: Songs with more supporters get a better chance. Con: A couple of people have already expressed objections to this on the grounds that a double here is more meaningful than in VGMC. But if this is correct, then everything with 4 noms is in, and everything with 2 or below is out. And as it stands, 9 of the 54 tracks on exactly 3 nominations will make it in. But how to decide which 9 make it? There's a few options I'm considering:Run a 9 day play-in round with 6 of the 54 songs on each day, the one receiving the most votes each day gets a spot in the contest. Pro: it's democratic and all the songs get a chance to shine. Con: it's very long!!Randomly allocate the slots. Pro: it's quick! Con: Is it fair?Allocate first slots to nominators who got no tracks into the contest. Pro: More people will have a reason to be invested in the contest. Con: It may penalise early nominators who happened to get to widely popular tracks first.Prioritise games/albums with fewer reps. Pro: A more varied field. Con: There may be a reason some games have more support than others!Remove songs with a double first. Pro: Songs with more supporters get a better chance. Con: A couple of people have already expressed objections to this on the grounds that a double here is more meaningful than in VGMC.While I wait for any errors to pop up, please chime in with your thoughts!
