well he pulled that gun out super unnecessarily but the video doesnt actually show the shot

Idk about murder without the unedited version but he probably doesnt need to be a cop any more/ever again

You're seeing what you want to see. He pulls his gun out after she starts turning the wheel and as the car starts moving.

The officer had his gun drawn when the car was stationary.

She actually turned away from the officer, and he fired through the side window. The car never got much beyond walking pace.

No, the cop wasn't defending himself from an attack.

He murdered a pregnant woman accused of shoplifting, rather than let her drive slowly away.

No, you first SEE the gun when she does that, but it's clearly already in his hand

Gee, exactly like everyone said in the other topic. What you have to understand is that law enforcement's version of any story isn't to be believed, fucking ever. Unless it's corroborated by video assume they are fucking liars, because they are. Never give them the benefit of the doubt.

All the people arguing there was no way the cop could have sidestepped a vehicle travelling at such speed, driven with such murderous intent.

I hope they watch this.

The car barely moved. My grandmother could have sidestepped it. And she's dead.

You can see and hear how pumped up the cop is, yelling 'get the fuck out of the car!' like he's starring in his own prime time show

Incorrect. He already has the gun out, he simply raises it into view of his body cam. He's also moved to the side of the car already by the time he kills her.

That's murder.

Even if she was technically hitting the officer with her car it was at such low speed as to make the risk of serious injure miniscule.

She was going like 3 miles per hour. She wasn't even looking at the body-cam'd officer until she started moving forward. I don't even know that she saw him until she was already moving

Yep. They should be seeking to calm everything down and work for a peaceful resolution.

Instead, they're pumped up, waving guns, and yelling obscenities. Not so much protect and serve as comply or die.

Yeah, while she did start moving the car as front cop was standing there (and did push him), he murdered her. Side cop is innocent though. Both of his hands were free and he was just telling her to get out. Not aggressively, just seriously.

Front cop was trigger happy, ran up and basically shot her within 10secs of appearing. He done f'd up. Even if side cop tried to best of his ability to get her out before that, front cop would've killed her. It was also side cop that broke the window to try to save her. I hope he blew his ass up on the drive back to the station.

Edit: it was definitely front cop that escalated it x10 for no reason at all. He's going to prison.

I allowed myself to be distracted by somebody immediately showing up and pushing the she fled because she was surrounded by cops with their guns on her narrative from the last topic despite the video clearly showing that is not the case.

What the video also clearly shows is that the distance and angle of car to cop did not allow for any potential of serious risk to the cop. Her actions were deserving of charges for evading arrest and assaulting an officer, not a response with deadly force.

It isn't. Side cop was not ordering her aggressively nor did he have his gun out. He was just asking her to get out of the car. He already had the situation under control actually, and the front cop was entirely unneeded. I'm actually interested to see side cop's video to see how he conducted the initial walkup and convo with her before the front cop ran up.

I suppose I can't say front cop could've just stayed back and minded his own business since that likely wasn't possible but if that guy wasn't there, she'd probably be alive today.

Things like this piss me off so much, because I'm of the belief, however unpopular, that we SHOULD have police. But when you constantly see police acting unlawfully, and you also see no clear intention to actually reform policing, it's just so disheartening. I don't even know what the answer is. The answer isn't "No police," but it also isn't "Current police." There needs to be much, MUCH stricter guidelines on who becomes a cop, but... When will we actually see that implemented?

Watching it from the other cop's angle, he definitely feels too trigger-happy. If the cop on the front had been dead center or a foot back, I'd probably say it'd be justified, but being right on the corner like that makes it feel really silly. Though I'd also be curious how fast she actually accelerated. If it just looks slow because of the video and she actually caused the guy injury, it might be more justified. Either way, I don't see any reason why he should have had his gun drawn at that point.

yeah so I definitely heard a gunshot and a scream and then the car started going

even if she hit the gas before the shot there's no way his life was in danger. maybe his left pinky toe.

and also this looks like a woman who's sitting in her car and has no idea why police are accosting her. don't they need a warrant to search a car without permission?
