You're correct. Hard to call it a side effect when it's part of the strategy too.

I think people are ignoring that this will be used to control and persecute people that arent evening leaving the state to get an abortion.

This is pure evil. I just watched a special on how they fly or bus people out of where they live so they can get an abortion while providing the expenses to those in need. At some point being in this kind of operation will become punishable by incarceration.

While you are correct my question to you is this: What enforcement mechanism is there should this be ruled against in federal court? We are rapidly reaching the point where conservatives are simply going to disregard court rulings they don't like.

GOP doesn't care if it is against the constitution. They ram it through and then let it take 18 months to get challenged in the courts (which may still uphold it because fascism)

Yeah, just recently the SC ruled against Alabama's so racist gerrymandered maps that even they had to acknowledge it was racist, and their response was to just go "lol do something about it" and press on with it.
