Serious question, does Paimon sound less annoying in Japanese?

My fav paimon voice is Chinese I don't like Japanese or English as much, English paimon is inconsistent in emotion but I put up with her for the other characters eng dub. not heard too much of jpn paimon I know she shares voice with kaguya, Chinese paimon is pleasant compared to eng and jpn though

I finally finished the 4.1 Archon quests, took me a bit to get started since I was focused on Cyberpunk when the update hit. I feel Act III dragged a bit but I really enjoyed Act IV a lot. And now I can start exploring the 4.1 area and getting mats for Neuvillette!!

Speaking of men, Wriothesley is a total babe and I've decided I'm pulling for him instead of Furina. I'll remain Archonless for quite a while longer.

I was 20 pulls from soft pity, so I pulled for Rizzley.

Let's just say I have a C5 Jean and a guaranteed Furina with some primos left over. I'm cool with that though, I love the Dandelion Knight.

I got him with 30 pulls and no pity on the 50/50. Luckily I basically already had a set for him cuz I farmed so much for Neuvillette lol

I got him at 75 pulls and won 50/50.

My son insisted that I perform a ritual while pulling and if I fucked up Id get Qiqid. Fortunately, I didnt fuck up lol

I was doing single pulls, so he said I had to throw a punch every time I pulled. But they had to be good ones. If it looked like a nae nae, I was doomed.

Had planned on just getting c0 Wrio, but after realizing I still had enough primos to hit pity 3 more times decided to try a 50/50 at least, and now have c1. Definitely a lot less awkward to use now.

I think Id really like c1, but I just cant justify burning that many primos on garbage four-stars that Ill never use. When Im sitting on my couch hoping to lose four-star 50/50, its a problem! lol

What cats are we all using for the British Brawler, anyway? Im not pulling his sig and I still dont have any other five star cats or a Widsith.

Let me give you a piece of advice, then. If you're planning on pulling Wrio in a rerun, I would strongly encourage you to start grabbing the Subdetection Units he needs to ascend, like now. I have no idea why Hoyo thinks we're playing their game because we enjoy entomology, but somebody should clue in Hoyo that no, we do not in fact enjoy hunting down small, easily missed insects that only respawn every two to three days after we've spent so much time and/or money amassing the primogems necessary to acquire the shiny new character. We would actually, believe it or not, like to actually enjoy playing the fucking character.

Oh yes, it's another scarab hunt. Though tbh, I remember Yoimiya being like this in her first run as well, because half of the islands that look like they're overgrown with Naku Weeds weren't available yet.

That's basically how it is for every character

I'm going to disagree on the Wriosthely materials, I farmed them and it's nowhere near as bad as the scarabs. The mechanical bugs are spread over a smaller area, they're clustered together more, and almost all of them appear in ruins of the old research center that are easily visible from a distance and written on the map. I did one run where I went through everything using a guide to learn the locations, then it was three quick runs of less than five minutes each. Much less hassle than any of the Sumeru materials, and better than a lot of them in other areas too.

Anyway you had three weeks to farm his materials. If you knew you were going to pull for him, and you're so precious about having him maxed out the moment you get him, then you shouldn't have waited. That's on you.

The process of ascending characters with gathered materials so that you can level them is in and of itself dumb, lets not go down the path of it isnt so bad.

There's worse.
Azur Lane iirc locks higher levels of the character if you don't get dupes or use a very limited currency to limit break

That doesnt make this system good. But I imagine that its some gacha shit that Im just not used to seeing. Ill shut up about it.

Yeah it coulda been better, but at least it isn't as restrictive as many others I guess (ignoring the new region chars who force you to grind for a week or two).

The really terrible part of Genshin are artifacts with their months-long grind per char, other stuff is just a matter of time in a game that's designed to be played 30min a day.

Artifacts don't take months per character unless you're the sort that is incredibly anal min maxer that lives in the Abyss. Just playing the game normally and getting average sets for world exploration use is like 1-2 weeks tops with average rng luck.

Getting proper stat artifacts generally is 1 month grind per character unless you are lucky and the char scales on easy to get stuff (Tighnari's wanderer set, Nilou's HP-only stats)

A whaled out top tier character with some of the best constellations in the game mopping the floor with everything? What a shocker!
With that kinda kit you can even quickly brute force most cryo shields, which hydro normally cannot drain.

That's why I said people who don't min max live and breathe Abyss. That's the only challenging content.

You don't have to min max to beat the abyss it's pretty pitifully easy. I use my Yelan because it gets through it fast because I'm only interested in the primo

Look, you were specifically comparing Wriosthely's materials to other characters, and compared to them it's definitely easier. Not even close to being as bad as having to comb huge swaths of desert and (at the time) unmapped underground caverns, to collect a bunch of bugs that blend in with the background and will disappear if you're too slow. Also easier than having to climb cliffs and mountains for flowers and mushrooms, or having to run all over the place to zap purple clouds with electro, or those lumps of wenut poo that were also in unmapped caverns. Oh, and then there were the onikabuto beetles, spread out in a lot of hard to reach locations, and annoyingly most of them were right next to other local specialties so you couldn't even use character passives to find them faster.

That's not a discussion I was having, either. Again you specifically compared this to other materials, and I disagree about it being as bad as them.

In fact in general Fontaine has been making local specialties less of a pain to collect, which is good because the trend seemed to be that it was getting worse as we went through Inazuma and Sumeru.

I started playing Genshin a couple months ago, had fun, got sidetracked by Star Rail and I didn't really know how to gacha game before that so I was just leveling whoever and after playing Star Rail, I realized that's really bad and I should focus on just a couple. Got Ganyu like the day I quit and just got Keqing a few days ago since starting back up.

Who should I put some time into and of my leveled, who should I just ignore from here on?

Or should I just kinda start over since I have like no leveling mats whatsoever? (less than 10 for each) I just got to Inazuma

Ignore Rosaria. Swap Traveler to dendro.

The game will always keep you low on mats anyway, until you reach higher AR and finish two good teams.

I don't have dendro Traveler yet >_>

It's just a matter of climbing into Sumeru over the wall and touching a statue of seven with trav, if you want.
But yeah, you'd have to grind Sumeru mats to raise her. It's the only Traveler worth your time (not because her kit is good, but because dendro has very low demands to be useful and strong)

All my characters:

The first five are all good investments in their own way.

Tighnari is pretty solid as a dps and would work well in a team with Fischl, Kuki and either Dendro MC or Collei.

Melt Ganyu with Xiangling is still good but without Bennett your Xiangling will need a lot of ER to use her burst often. Layla can work as the shielder, and Sucrose can add additional pyro if you infuse her burst with it, as well as increase Ganyu's EM.

Get Bennett from the Paimon Shop once you're able to, as he helps Xiangling a lot (mainly with her energy needs and her personal damage). He is also part of the strong OG "National" core of him, Xiangling and Xingqiu. With this core, Sucrose or Fischl can be the on-fielder.
