Wut. The sentiment I'm seeing online is the game is bad because of the Dark Souls multiplayer. That was the stuff I paid attention to the least, multiplayer in platformers is almost always blegh. Everything else about the game had me very excited. Idk, Nintendo fans are weird, they get offended over the most pointless shit.

its more that for some stupid reason you can coop locally but not online. If you could do both i wouldn't give a shit.

but now i can't play with my friends like i wanted, and nobody i know likes these games..

I don't know why anyone would ever want to co-op a platformer with anyone they couldn't punch.

I rewatched the Direct, and watched some breakdowns/missed things stuff, I am very excited for this game. It looks like it will be the best 2D Mario game since 3 and World. I almost want to go radio silent on this game because seeing what I've seen, I want to leave some things to be a surprise.

Are there any good Mario fan games? Over the weekend I played through SMB1, 2USA, 3 and today I'll play World. I'll try NSMB but I'll probably not stick with it cus I just find the NSMB games to be bland and unoriginal. And I don't really want kaizo, I think needing in depth knowledge of how SMW is coded in order to play is garbage design, I want a fan made Mario game that actually feels like Mario.

I pulled all of those from his other videos in the SNES and NES series. I can't attest for any of them myself, but the gameplay clips look good and he describes most of them as going for a difficulty level close to the original games, as opposed to Kaizo.

I too am very excited for Wonder! The DS/3DS NSMB games were quite meh, but I did find Super Mario 3D Land and 3D World to be a great iteration that melded 2D and 3D mario.

I understand the complaints about online co-op, but I don't really care personally. The Wii/Wii U NSMB games were a shitshow of frustration and fun with 2-4 player couch co-op. You spend more time learning when to scream 'BUBBLE!!!' at each other. It's fun as hell in person for sure, but you can basically do it in ghost mode without everyone else messing up every 2nd move you make. You just don't get to cheat a few of the collectibles as you could in the Wii/Wii U games.
