HOUSTON Authorities said two brothers suffered from injuries Wednesday morning after they were attacked by the familys pit bull in east Harris County

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the situation took place in the 1100 block of North Battlebell Road in the Highlands area.

It is believed that the two brothers were playing with the dog when it attacked them, according to HCSO.

Medics arrived at the home to tend to the brothers and later called deputies as the dog continued its aggressive behavior at the scene.

One of the men suffered such horrendous injuries that he had to be transported to the hospital by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He is said to be stable at last check.

When authorities arrived on the scene, Gonzalez said an HCSO Sergeant had to shoot the dog due to its aggressive behavior.

facts. it's one thing if they were dogsitting and the dog wasn't used to the stranger (which really isn't an excuse anyways)

this is a family dog who knew the brothers and was clearly comfortable with them.

Is bodycam footage released when they shoot dogs? Or it is only for humans? Kinda wondering if there was a non-lethal way to deal with the dog. And not a shoot first ask questions later.

Tasers at best would only be a temp stop and cops don't carry tranq darts. Nor should they.

Aren't dogs that attack humans like this killed anyway?

In January 2023, a BBC investigation found that organized crime in the UK is moving into the lucrative market of extreme dog breeding, specifically American Bullies as a means of money laundering.[16]
