He isn't getting 12 years in prison, that is the maximum he faces for the charges and Trump is facing way more than that in any of his four indictments. The guy was also out on $10k bail the day after he was arrested.

Not saying there still isn't a difference in treatment, they didn't give him days of notice so he could plan out his bail in advance, but it is a bit different when you aren't indicted by a grand jury first.

Apparently he stole physical copies and uploaded footage of himself with the games.

So not a hacker. Was disappointed that there wasn't a more interesting story there.

This. We can agree there is a two-tiered "justice" system in America (or even three-tiered...as must as the Right bitches about how "unfair" it is to Trump, the leniency he is getting is ABSOLUTELY insane), but this story ain't it.
