I'm going to get some flak for this, but the wii+ remote. It just felt good to hold. Switch joycons are just awkward to hold, all the buttons are in weird positions and they are really small. I kind of wish they had a trigger button behind the joycons similar to the wii remote, but do it on both sides.

I barely had any Wii U games, but Gamepad was awesome honestly. I wish more games had used it *cough botw cough*. Joycons would be rad if they didn't fucking drift like mad after using them for two days. And if more games used their weird features. And also there's the desync. -_- I may have ranked them too high.

Yeah, they were like the second model SNESes just a late generation, I wanna' say post 1993 thing. My family got one of these model NESes after our original one's connectors started really going to hell. (We didn't know much about just replacing the connector so getting this second model NES was actually pretty cheap for it's time).

gamecube was the most comfortable to hold and had everything pretty much good. it was their best.

it did have its problems though. that c-stick was still quite shit and useless. would've been better with an actual stick, but they were still obsessed with having that c-based input for some reason (coughOoT)
and though the b placement was good, and the differing sizes were fine, the X and Y were still odd shapes and had strange placement.

Damn, I shoulda voted for it. I loved the screen. WW HD used it wonderfully. Switch between map and charts, inventory, and Tingle bottles all while still sailing. It made managing all those things so snappy and you never had to pause.

Also hot take, but it was comfier than the pro controller. The buttons on the pro stuck out too much and felt all bunched together so I couldn't navigate it by touch as well.

The poor Wii U gamepad... relentlessly mocked for being too big and weird... yet it's an amazing controller that fits my hands perfectly.

Unfortunately because of it's other shortcomings and low sales, the gaming public decided every detail of the Wii U was bad, even the things it got right... and so the gamepad will remain unloved despite it's great design.

To be honest, I only ever liked the gamecube controller for nintendo's own games since their stuff is created in a way that makes sense out of the gamecube controller's layout. Like with all of the smash games from melee up, mario kart wii, mario kart double dash, super mario sunshine and so on it feels pretty great.

When it comes to 3rd party games though (sonic and phantasy star online aside since I never had a problem with adventure 2 battle, pso ep 1 and 2, and sonic heroes with the cube' controller) I absolutely hated using the gamecube controller for those. I owned all 3 consoles for the 6th gen so when it came to 3rd party games I always prioritized the og xbox version above the other 2, and if a og xbox version did not exist then I would just opt for the PS2 version.
