About time for the next bug patch anyway. And it will have a minor help against common colds too anyway since coronoviruses make up like a third of what we call the common cold and for that third, the vaccine will provide minor help too.

I hate the possible timing.

Been masking and staying away from a lot of shit every since this start.

I have to be on a flight for a family emergency in November. Complicated as there is some irony that it's put out so far from today, but anyway: I also get hit pretty hard by each vaccine. I'm not throwing up, but it's enough that I can't leave my room. It's its own version of wishing I was dead.

On the other hand, I do try to put a buffer on the rollout. I don't want to be of the very first guinea pigs. Even if trials are done in labs, I count the actual populous as the real trial. So the initial rollout + this buffer may land right on my trip.

Genuinely, my primary told me it wasn't a good idea to take it with my health even back in 2020. He never once made it political in all the years since, dude was a moderate. So I kept a ridiculous distance from everybody and followed protocols, etc. Worked from home and shit.

He'll need to take a look at it and let me know again.

I never got around to getting the Omicron booster. I did get 3 shots of the original vaccine. No objection to the new one, just laziness.

only got injection shot pain. sore arm for a few days and being tired the day after the shot.

though i plan to get the booster around thanksgiving so there's ample time for it to arrive in my town (new booster, not the old one).

Havent they at least linked the vaccine with reducing the severity of cases though? I only had a very minor case and so did my 93yr old grandfather.

But of course everyones different.

Jurys still out on whether or not I have it, or at least a very minor symptom. Every 2-3 days it feels a little bit harder to breathe, and an inhaler quickly fixes it.

Definitely will get the newest booster upgrade. Not interested in long term covid damage. Why not.

5 shots already, and the worst is some injection site soreness. No tiredness, no stomach ache, no bad effects whatsoever for me.

I was disappointed really.

I listened to too many anti vaxxer made up stories and was expecting SOMETHING. I didn't even turn into a 5G magnet spewing out nanobot demons

I'm still waiting for the waves of dead or sterilized people from the Vax though. Certainly... that's right around the corner. So far no news of that.

I'm in the military and they haven't mandated any boosters or new shots. Though that may be in part due to how much backlash they recieved.

my thing is at first it was: get this to prevent from dying of Covid then it was get this to prevent getting Covid, then it was get this to reduce transmission of Covid, then it was, well vaccination actually produces transmission so now you need a booster then it was well, now you need another booster, and on and on.

Bottom line: trumps super warp speed vax rollout is trash and its ok to ask questions and be skeptical.

The last time I looked into getting a booster, they said wasn't necessary due to my age and "general" risk. I'm not aware if that's changed since.

That said, if the new booster is rolled out, and I am deemed eligible for it, I'll get it.
