Can't make this stuff up. I'm surprised he lasted 2 months before Putin had him killed. But it's unsure if he really was on the plane they say he was. But I wonder if it was done to make him seem dead so he can live a life safe away somewhere

There was a Russion spokesman on BBC radio this morning, claiming that Prigozhen was a 'hero' and that Ukraine was responsible for his death.

So they are going for the usual strategy of multiple narratives, but no official statement, to sow as much doubt and confusion as possible while still retaining the power of the implicit threat to those who step out of line.

Of course, that could backfire on them, because if the Russian populace believe Ukraine can strike deep into Russian territory and kill their military leadership that easily, it could make the war look like even more of a lost cause.
