The Imps from FF2 who always get the drop on you and cast Confuse16 over and over.

Basically any fluff low enemies that spawn in games just to be a nuisance.

Tonberry's.. depends on the game, Marlboro's also depend on the game, Flea man can piss right off though in games where you cant crouch down

Also fuck those red/blue javelin guys from DMC3 on the other page. And the green Metroids that you have to turn away from. And The Fallen. And Those knight things you have to attack from behind. And Geryon.

In OUTERPLANE theres a boss that can permanently stunlock your entire party if you dont have someone who can make you immune to it <_<

Literally every enemy in SMT Nocturne, because the random encounter rate is too goddamn high

Enemies that rely on instant death attacks. Especially those with low hot chance. Thanks 20% occurrence im glad I just lost 2 hours.

I get what they were going for but being stunlocked by a horde of olympic sprinters while being forced to play as a way worse version of the protag from the previous game wasn't the way to go.

Treasure chests that end up being enemies when you open them.

It's a common thing in JRPGs and it was never really a big deal for me before, but I recently played a game called Trinity Trigger and literally half the chests in the game end up being enemies.

That pot thing in Cavern of the Stolen Fayth in FFX. Specifically when you're trying to capture everything and this thing keeps spawning instead.

The "teleports behind you and attacks very quickly" enemy that every 2D platformer seems to have.

Those stupid greatshield enemies in Hades, such a pain to deal with depending on your weapon/loadout

Nearly every faction in Destiny 2 has 1 annoying enemy.

Hive: Ogres/Shriekers
Vex: Wyvern
Cabal: Ones with shields/Psions that spam grenades
Taken: Shield Cabal
Scorn: Any that goes invisible to run away from you
Fallen: Don't have 1 normally, but barrier Servitors can be very annoying
Guardians: Titans

Chozo Ghosts are only truly a hassle until you get the X-ray visor, then they become a minor inconvenience because you can finally track them.

Anyway:
-Archvile (Doom 2) - the attack is easy enough to avoid, but there's always the issue of resurrection
-Axl/Slash (Final Fight) - the only enemies that can block, they wait until your back is turned and then their double axehandle is one of the hardest hitting attacks in the game (IIRC, only the Andore's drops, Edi's gun, Abigail's throws and Belger's crossbow hit as hard)
-Darknut (Zelda 1) - hits like a truck and can't be hit from the front. There's a room in level 5 first quest with a ton that's actually awful
-Wizzrobe (Zelda 1) - projectiles, mobile, fast, strong
-Morpha (Ocarina of Time) - if you use the "stay in a corner strat" it likes to stay in the water and just never come up for long periods of time
-Three-of-a-Kind (Link's Awakening) - the timing can be annoying leading to having to repeat the puzzle a whole lot of times
-Cave Bat, Vampire Bat, Blood Bat (Final Fantasy 4) - they only have a drain attack and when you encounter 5-7 in a single battle you end up waiting for up to a minute for the battle to advance
-Trap Door (Final Fantasy 4) - Every. Damn. Door. in the Sealed Cave is one of these, where they have an instant kill attack and often turn into Manticores after some time, which aren't easy either
-TinyMage (Final Fantasy 4) - Annoying for the time, as they use a lot of status effects on you
-Zemus' Malice (aka Mind) (Final Fantasy 4) - Unlike the Breath, which is free EXP basically, this enemy pretty much will tank most things you throw at it, and will require you to basically bleed MP to deal with it. Right before the final boss.
-Fishin' Boo (Super Mario World) - really easy to hit due to how low it flies and unlike Lakitus, is invincible

Any enemy in an action game that kan only be killed with a well-timed dodge & kounter.
