Very rarely. Products advertised that I want I was going to buy anyway. Otherwise all the repeated online advertising has no effect on me.

I suppose booking.com has become the main holiday booking place due to the advertising.

Adblock helps a lot too.

Am a minimalist. Not impressed by brand names.

No one will admit they are susceptible to advertising. They think it's everyone else who is vulnerable, while they are strong minded enough to resist.

And yet those dumb corporations continue to spend billions on it, the idiots.

Like everyone else, I think I make my decisions independent of ads.

But I suspect that is a delusion.

Knowledge is power. Its much harder to be manipulated when you are aware of the techniques being used on you. Same with police interview tactics.

Oh, I don't think I'm vulnerable at all to advertising. I think people who are are somehow inferior.

But I strongly suspect I am fooling myself.

I dont think Im that vulnerable, but not 100% invulnerable. But I also dont think that most people are susceptible and Im better than them. I dont have the statistics or insight to even begin to estimate that.

What I do know is that some people are extra vulnerable due to any number of factors (addictive tendencies, being on the spectrum, etc.) and these are whom advertisers and video game publishers target because theyre fucking predators.

I am somewhat susceptible. I will research what I find advertised online. I have found good deals thanks to online ads that I wouldnt have otherwise found. The other ads Ive fallen for are for series streaming on services that I already pay for. Since I was already paying for or otherwise had access to the streaming service independent of the ads, there was no actual risk to checking out the show.

I'm susceptible to price cuts of things I already want.

Not at all. At home I use adblock and several other apps of that kind, and in general I just avoid clicking ads at all cost on general principle, especially knowing some of them have malware sneaking along with them, even on legit-ish websites.
